BUSFEST SITE INFORMATION

BUSFEST INFORMATION (AND REGALIA) CENTRE

The Busfest Information Centre is located at the THREE COUNTIES CENTRE. (Building at the base of the “Ivory Tower”). Busfest Merchandise will be available here.

OPENING TIMES FRIDAY; 12.00 – 17.00 SAT; 09.00 – 17.00 SUNDAY; 09.00 – 16.00

BUSFEST TRADE AREAS

  • The Trade Village will be open from 10.00 on Friday. 09.00 Saturday & Sunday
  • Indoor Trade Areas can be found inside the Wye & Avon Halls
  • Autojumble will be located at the AVON Hall & The VEHICLE SALES Area

SECURITY CONTROL is located at the SHOW OFFICE/BBC BUILDING which is adjacent to the Busfest Information Centre. We will again be operating a high profile 24HR security operation. CCTV will be in operation.

SECURITY/FIRST AID HOTLINE available throughout the weekend by calling TBA

FIRST AID provided by EMC MEDICAL & located in the TEME HALL Car Park.

FIRE STATION is located at the North End of the Main Arena.

Fire Points are located at all major control points. We also have our own Fire Engine, fire marshaling vehicles and team based on the site, who will be making regular patrols.

SHOW & SHINE will be in the DISPLAY ARENA on the Sunday.

VEHICLE SALES & AUTO JUMBLE AREA will be in BROWN CARPARK (WEST SITE) AREA.

DISPLAYS are located the AVON HALL and next to the MAIN ARENA and the DISPLAY ARENA (near TEME Hall).

FOOD & DRINK. There are FOUR main Food villages located on the site (Trade & Severn Hall, cHILL zONE & BUSFEST HUB) as well as numerous other mobile catering units around the site. There is also the “FOOD FOR THOUGHT” snack (and breakfast) bar at the Severn Hall & the STOCKMANS RESTAURANT located to the rear of the Wye & Avon Halls. It provides a very good range of cooked foods and a licensed bar.

TOILETS There are several welfare blocks located on the site and at the Severn Hall (most/all with disabled facilities).

SHOWERS are located at the TEME, & YELLOW & STOCKMANS Welfare /Toilet Blocks on the Showground site.

GAS Available a short distance from the main site (at Camping Shop on road to Hanley Swan)

ELSAN EMPTYING POINTS are positioned outside the fixed welfare blocks and at several of the campsite portable welfare blocks too.

CASH POINT MACHINES are located at the south end of the Severn Hall.

SITE SHOP selling basic provisions is located at the front of Severn Hall.

TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS Please note that there is a one-way traffic system in operation on the MAIN SITE 09.00 – 17.00. Exit on the main site is Via the RED Gate.

CAMPING SAFELY— Can we please urge you to always think safety and not only ensure that your vehicle and camping equipment is safe but also that you keep a sensible distance between yourself and the next camping unit. If you have gazebos or awnings (or small dogs & children) please ensure they are well tied down, they have been known to disappear when the Malvern wind gets up. Take extreme care with BBQ’s

FIRES.

  • Open fires are NOT allowed on the showground site.
  • This includes FIRE PITS.
  • Barbeques that are raised off of the ground are permitted but they MUST NOT be left unattended and MUST be EXTINGUISHED after use.
  • Anyone found with an open fire will be EXPELLED from the site.

BUSFEST & SITE REGULATIONS

To make your stay with us safe and enjoyable the following regulations are in place. Please be aware that we operate a Red Card & Yellow Card System, failure to follow these rules will result in expulsion from the BUSFEST site.

VEHICLES. We operate a one-way traffic system on the site between 09.00 – 17.00 throughout the weekend. A 5 MPH speed restriction will be enforced. Vehicle movement including motorcycles and scooters is NOT PERMITTED other than for: Leaving/returning to the showground, to compete in an organized event or Official Vehicles.

  • ANYONE found cruising around the site or in the opinion of a official or appointed agent, seen to be driving in a dangerous manner WILL BE EXPELLED FROM SITE IMMEDIATELY.
  • ANY PERSON(S) using loud amplified sound systems or loud vehicle ICE (& Exhaust Noise!) in the campsite areas is liable to face expulsion from the site.
  • A TOTAL VEHICLE MOVEMENT BAN will be enforced between 12.30am and 8.00am.

SECURITY The Showground gates will be locked between MIDNIGHT and 9.00am During these hours a security team will be operating. They are empowered to refuse entry and eject ANYONE without correct wristbands/passes causing a nuisance or in breach of the site regulations.

DAY VISITORS who stay on site for the evening entertainment must leave the site after the evening entertainment (midnight).

TRADING (i.e the selling or exchange of goods or services) is only permitted on designated trade plots, auto-jumble plots or vehicle sale pitches after payment of the appropriate fee to BUSFEST.

NOISE - Please keep noise levels to a minimum. All Sound Systems MUST all be turned off at midnight. Generators are permitted but can only be run between 8.30am and 9.30pm. Be considerate to your neighbours & do not share your ICE Systems with the whole site. PLEASE NOTE we will be having a clampdown on noise makers in the campsites this year. Large amplified sounds systems (or noisy Vehicle ICE) operating in the campsite will NOT be tolerated & WILL lead to expulsion from the event.

DOGS Are permitted on site but MUST be always kept on a lead and under proper control. Please exercise your dog responsibly & make sure you clean up after your dogs. Please also note that no pets are permitted in any enclosed entertainment venues (Severn Hall,) during the evening entertainments

FIREWORKS must NOT be set off at anytime, anywhere on site. Please note; anyone found with or using fireworks on this site will be evicted immediately. CHINESE SKY LANTERNS are also BANNED at this event.

SMOKING is not permitted in any of the buildings, marquees or enclosed trade stands.

DRONES & any other remotely operable flying machines (other than licensed & authorized by BUSFEST) are NOT permitted to be flown ANYWHERE on the Showground Site.

FLY-POSTING of leaflets around the showground or onto vehicles is NOT permitted.

SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS, BIKES, absolutely no Skateboards, Scooters or Bikes (or similar) are permitted to be used in any building or in Trade Areas during opening hours. MOTORISED / ELECTRIC SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS, AND BIKES (or similar) are not permitted anywhere on site (Disabled Persons Mobility Scooters excepted).

FISHING and SWIMMING or Surfing in any of the open waters on the showground is not permitted.

KITES MUST NOT be flown on the site. CARBON POLES (for kites & flags) MUST not be erected on North end of the site (or ANYWHERE in the vicinity of overhead power or communication cables)

TENTS & OTHER TEMPORARY STRUCTURES. Please take special precautions to ensure that the tents, awnings gazebo’s, party tents & other temporary structures you may bring with you are erected correctly and are SAFE (use Storm Lashings & Tie downs as required).

We will request/demand any unsafe structures we come across are made safe or removed immediately. (THAT INCLUDES VEHICLES AS WELL!) .
